Last Thurday night, Glasgow Montrose ‘A’ team, winners of Glasgow League Division Two, received their shield and individual awards at small but moving ceremony at club headquarters.

GMCC was displaced from it’s (former) premises by some bagpipe playing types, so we repaired to the nearby Hogshead on Woodlands Road. This proved a blessing in disguise, as a very enjoyable evening of al fresco chess & beer ensued…
